Mellano’s story is one of family, dedication, and a deep appreciation for the land. The family’s floral business, Mellano & Company, was established in 1925 by Giovanni Mellano and has grown through generations into a respected California flower-growing business.
Today, Mellano & Company cultivates hundreds of acres of flowers and greenery in San Diego County, supplying floral products to businesses and florists. The family also welcomes visitors to experience farm life through Mellano Farm Stand in Oceanside. Together, these ventures celebrate the importance of agriculture and the beauty of locally grown products.
Depending on the time of year, visitors may find beautiful flower fields, seasonal pick-your-own opportunities, and fresh produce grown on the farm. Sunflowers and other seasonal blooms create picturesque scenery, while the farm stand offers an opportunity to discover fresh ingredients and locally inspired goods.

The farm stand’s published regular hours are Thursday through Sunday, 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Monday through Wednesday visits available by appointment. Seasonal festivals may have different hours, so check ahead.
Dogs are not allowed to walk out towards the fields. You can bring your leashed dog to the farm stand area where vendors and food options are sold.
There is a fair amount of walking required to reach the entrance of the corn maze, pumpkin patch. The flower fields are planted in rows along a hillside. Proper foot wear recommended.
